Unsupported 4x4 Vehicle Based Expedition Training

Expedition training is a five to seven day excursion intended to promote the most realistic training evolution possible. Our "off the grid" locations can be found in the US, Canada, Iceland, or Bolivia. All locations can be tailored to specifically meet the needs of the group.

The Expedition training is designed to serve as a culmination of our three or five day courses. Although it is not mandatory that potential groups attend our three or five day courses prior to the expedition, it is HIGHLY ENCOURAGED. However, a basic proficiency to OEX standards must be met prior to the expedition. To be most effective, a well founded ability in driving, recovery, repair will be essential; this allows us to combine their already existing skills with field preparedness; GPS land navigation, macro ground reading, weather preparedness, and many other needed skills. Teams bring in all their personal equipment and needs and do not re-supply or encounter "civilization", other than primitive villages if unavoidable. The vehicles used will vary from shipping in our fleet if so requested to using fleets of fairly stock 4x4s such as Jeeps in the" USA; and in Iceland and Bolivia: Land Cruiser, Hiluxes, Nissan Patrols, and Land Rover Defenders. OEX fleet vehicles can be used if necessary or requested.

5-7 days situation training under off the grid conditions in the USA, Iceland, or Bolivia. This is the culmination of OEX training. After our 3 or 5 day training has been complete teams will drive 5 days or more through challenging and 100% "off the grid" areas. This training tests their newly acquired skills as well and helps to combine their already significant existing skills into a unit. Teams can do this training without prior training if necessary.
