At OEX you can choose to train in of some of the best off-road vehicles ever designed. We have tried to assemble a fleet of vehicles that will present a realistic cross section of vehicles to a demanding crowd of 4x4 and Overland enthusiasts. All our vehicles are in very good shape, these are not bet-up throw away vehicles. Most of our vehicle are slightly modified to ensure minimal damage and allow accurate training under the difficult terrain presented on our trails. Clearly you are encouraged to use your own vehicles instead of or in addition to ours. We also encourage our student to use a variety of the vehicles in a variety of terrains.
The Vehicles:
2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser 120 series Land Cruiser based Recently we added the new FJ Cruiser. The FJ is our first permanent training vehicles with an Independent Front Suspension (IFS), ETC (Electronic Traction Control), it represents the trend of 4x4 vehicles. Rear locker, a front locking differential, front and rear heavy duty bumpers, and 3 inch suspension lift to accommodate new larger Goodyear MTR tires.

Mitsubishi Pajaro (Montero) 1993 Recently added to our fleet. The Pajaro is used world wide for marginal areas. With its independent from suspension and carrying capacity, it needs to be driven accordingly. This is a common favorite of our relief agencies, international corporate explorations (geological, cellular telephone) teams, scientific and university, and military. This vehicle is stock and has all season tires---a very real vehicle to train in when you do not expect to be able to choose your vehicle in the field.

1986 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60
This vehicle is a 6 cylinder gasoline manual transmission driven truck. It is a tough as it gets with a huge carrying capacity. It is also very common in the four corners of the world. This vehicle is minimally modified for reality and pragmatic training applications.
1980 Mercedes Unimog MB4/94
Relief agencies and corporate exploration big guns vehicle. 44 gears ands a 1:4400 low range first gear reduction. It takes a bit of skill and art to dive and use this well.
