EAST HADDAM, CONNECTICUT Our Hadlyme Course is set on private wooded land near the beautiful towns of East Haddam, with its Goodspeed Opera House, and Essex and Old Lyme at the mouth of the Connecticut River. From the stone gate to the Drivers’ Camp, the Course was specifically designed to give 4WD owners an extremely varied set of realistic and applicable conditions in a concentrated area so the drive time from situation to situation is almost non-existent. The Overland Experts Courses include log steps, side slide traverses, downhill wooded trails, rock climbs, controlled water crossings, a downhill slalom course with break away poles, sand driving pits, and boulder navigation areas. We have set up these situations so drivers can learn techniques in a safe and technically challenging environment. You’ll be amazed what your vehicle can do, and how you can learn to use it as a tool to get you through difficult situations. We have clients who literally need to drive their vehicles across near vertical rock faces, and our course includes an area where these advanced drivers can suspend their vehicles like a person rappelling on a rock face. The course includes one of our transplanted expedition Drivers' Camps. The Camp is where meals are served, and where drivers can meet with instructors at the end of the class for questions and to unwind. The course is in the woods, and you’ll see how we use those woods with minimal impact. You’ll learn how you can Tread Lightly too. |
